RELEASE: Mark Wiens Sworn-In to First Term as State Representative

SAINT PAUL, MN – Representative Mark Wiens, R-Lake Elmo, took the oath of office to begin his first term Tuesday at the beginning of the 2023 legislative session. Wiens will represent the new District 41A which includes Afton, Baytown Township, Denmark Township, Grant, Lake Elmo, Lake St. Croix Beach, Lakeland, Lakeland Shores, St. Mary’s Point, West Lakeland Township, and northern Cottage Grove.

Prior to the start of session, Wiens was appointed to serve on the Judiciary Finance & Civil Law, Veterans and Military Affairs Finance & Policy, and Workforce Development Finance & Policy Committees.

“I am honored to represent my neighbors in District 41A,” said Wiens. “As a U.S. Army Veteran, I look forward to bringing my experiences to the Veterans and Military Affairs Committee. We need to create the best environment in Minnesota for our government to be effective and working for its citizens. Returning the record surplus to our taxpayers in the form of meaningful tax relief will create the environment to help all Minnesotans thrive.”
