HF 3509 (Moller) Domestic abuse advocates prohibited from disclosing information.

HF 3554 (Moller) Aggravated first-degree witness tampering included in definitions of violent crime and crimes against a person.

HF 3520 (Pinto) Age range conformed for hiring a minor to engage in prostitution.

HF 3489 (Frazier) Education; public safety provided, grounds for use of reasonable force in schools modified, school resource officer duties defined and minimum training requirements established, and money appropriated.

Pending referral from the Education Policy Committee.

AMENDMENT DEADLINE: Amendments must be received by the Committee Legislative Assistant and Committee Administrator by 5:00pm, Monday, February 12th. Amendments to the amendments must be received by 4:00pm, Tuesday, February 13th.

TESTIMONY UPDATE: We have reached capacity for in-person testimony. Testimony is limited. NOTE: The Committee will mark up and vote on the DE amendment to HF 2890 containing the Public Safety Finance and Policy Omnibus bill. Public testimony was taken on March 28th, 2023. No further public or written testimony will be taken.

NOTE: A DE amendment and spreadsheet to HF 2890 (Moller) will be posted. The DE amendment (Public Safety Finance and Policy Omnibus bill) will be presented and public testimony will be taken on the DE amendment on March 28th. No formal action will be taken on the DE amendment on 3/28.

HF 1233 (Pinto) Visual inspection of delinquent children and youth in detention facilities prohibited, and disciplinary room time for delinquent children and youth in detention facilities prohibited.

We will not be taking any public testimony on HF 1233. This bill was previously heard and debated by the committee on March 2nd, 2023.

HF 2251 (Feist) Judiciary; grant funding provided to provide legal representation for children in need of protection or services and children in out-of-home placement, and money appropriated.

HF 2890 (Moller) Judiciary, public safety, corrections, human rights, firearm, and 911 Emergency Communication System statutory policy provisions amended; reports provided; rulemaking authorized; various judiciary, public safety, and corrections entities funding provided; and money appropriated.*

*This will be an informational hearing only. No public testimony or written testimony will be taken on HF 2890.
