PUBLIC SAFETY FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES


Representative Kelly Moller, Chair of the Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM on March 3rd, 2026, in Room 120 of the State Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Berg moved to approve the minutes of February 25th, 2025. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3768 (Curran) Department of Corrections licensed juvenile and adult community-based residential correctional facilities responsibilities clarified.

Representative Curran moved that HF3768 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Representative Curran moved the HF3768A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF3769 (Curran) Multiple levels of substance abuse care provided by the commissioner of corrections clarified in law, access to mental health unit beds for incarcerated persons expanded, and mandatory tuberculosis screening in correctional facilities clarified.
