PUBLIC SAFETY FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES


Representative Kelly Moller, Chair of the Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM on March 17th, 2026, in Room 120 of the State Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Curran moved to approve the minutes of March 11th, 2025. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3771 (Johnson, P) Reporting date on the disaster assistance contingency account.

Representative Johnson moved that HF3771 be placed on the General Register.

Representative Johnson presented HF3771.

Representative Johnson renewed the motion that HF3771 be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3658 (Frazier) Processes for applying for, securing, and enforcing extreme risk protection orders modified.

Chair Moller moved that HF3658 be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Chair Moller moved the HF3658A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Moller moved that HF3358 be placed on the General Register.

Chair Moller moved the HF3358DE2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Finke presented HF3358 as amended.

Chair Moller moved that HF3358 be laid over.

HF1775 (Pinto) Criminal case information reporting required, and money appropriated.

Representative Pinto moved that HF1775 be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Representative Pinto moved the HF1775DE2. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
