PUBLIC SAFETY FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES


Representative Paul Novotny, Chair of the Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:01 PM on March 18, 2026, in Room 120 of the State Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Engen moved to approve the minutes of March 17, 2026. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3547 (Swedzinski) Manufacture, sale, and use of fireworks regulated; and portion of revenues from the sale of fireworks dedicated to public safety purposes.

Chair Novotny moved HF 3547 before the committee with the recommendation it be re-referred to the Committee on Elections Finance and Government Operations.

Representative Swedzinski presented HF 3489.

Representative Harder moved HF 3651 before the committee with the recommendation it be re-referred to the Agriculture Finance and Policy Committee.
