Starting Line: Is elementary school recess still important?

For many years, recess was a staple of an elementary school student’s daily schedule. Today some schools have cut back on recess time; others have eliminated it all together.

This week on "Starting Line," find out why Rep. Jim Davnie (DFL-Mpls) sponsors HF308, and why he thinks it’s still important for elementary students to have the opportunity to participate in daily recess.
