Starting Line: Gun violence prevention bill hopes to boost community safety

After a tragic event involving the use firearms the question is often asked, “How can we prevent gun violence?” While there is no easy answer, one House member hopes that his proposal will increase community safety and reduce gun violence.

Rep. Fue Lee (DFL-Mpls) sponsors HF1678, a bill that would establish the so-called “Taylor Hayden Gun Violence Prevention Act.” This week on "Starting Line" we learn why Lee sponsors this bill and hopes it raises gun violence prevention awareness.
