PUBLIC SAFETY FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Kelly Moller, Chair of the Committee on Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:31 AM on, March 7th, 2024, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Curran moved the minutes of Mar 5th, 2024, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3555 (Rarick) State predatory offender system data collection and analysis required, and report required.

Chair Moller moved that HF3555 be laid over.

Chair Moller moved the HF3555A2 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT IS ADOPTED.

HF 4019 (Moller) Victim-identifying supporting documentation submitted by medical service provider to sexual assault exam payment program ensured to be classified private data, consistent definition of crime victim provided in statutes, and voluntary donation or gift excluded as collateral source for crime victim reimbursement.

Chair Moller moved that HF4019 be re-referred to the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law.

HF 1930 (Freiberg) End-of-life option established for terminally ill adults with a prognosis of six months or less, criminal penalties provided, data classified, reports required, immunity provided, and enforcement authorized.

Chair Moller assumed the gavel.

Chair Moller moved that HF1930 be re-referred to the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law.

Chair Moller moved the HF1930A9 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT IS ADOPTED.
