PUBLIC SAFETY FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Kelly Moller, Chair of the Committee on Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:31 AM on, March 19th, 2024, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Huot moved the minutes of March 15th, 2024, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 4370 (Gomez) Recipients of 2023 public safety aid required to report on use of that aid, and commissioner of public safety required to submit compiled data to legislature.

Chair Moller moved that HF4370 be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.

Chair Moller moved the HF4370A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT IS ADOPTED.

Representative Gomez presented HF4370 as amended.

Representative Witte moved the HF4370A2 Amendment.

HF 3063 (Fischer) Law regarding collection of DNA data without a conviction removed, and removal of biological specimens and records from DNA index system provided.

Chair Moller moved that HF3063 be placed on the General Register.

Chair Moller moved the HF3063A3 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED THE AMENDMENT IS ADOPTED.

Chair Moller moved the HF3063A4 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED THE AMENDMENT IS ADOPTED.
