PUBLIC SAFETY FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Kelly Moller, Chair of the Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 6:02 PM on March 15, 2023, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Hollins moved that the minutes from March 14, 2023, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2465 (Huot) Retired police officers permitted to be eligible to participate in state insurance program, program established for college degree holders to complete peace officer education and training, and money appropriated.

Chair Moller moved to lay over HF 2465.

Rep. Huot moved the H2465A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Huot presented HF 2465, as amended.

HF 1415 (Curran) Funding provided for development of a curriculum to assist licensed therapists to gain skills to provide services to first responders, and money appropriated.

Chair Moller moved to lay over HF 1415.

Rep. Curran moved the H1415DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Becker-Finn moved that HF 2173 be placed on the General Register.

Rep. Becker-Finn moved the H2173A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDEMNT WAS ADOPTED.
