HF 3465 (Liebling) Enhanced penalties for theft from a vulnerable adult established.

HF 3782 (Moller) Disclosure of chemical irritants used in certain buildings required.

HF XXXX (Moller) Enforcement of judicially ordered firearm restrictions in domestic violence cases *pending re-referral on March 9th. 2026. A bill number will be updated upon introduction. A PDF of the bill language is included below.

HF 391 (Scott) Enforcement of judicially ordered firearms restrictions provided for abusing parties.

HF 3946 (Moller) Definition of domestic abuse modified for purposes of obtaining an order for protection, law enforcement agencies required to report information in domestic abuse cases, authorizing certain arrests for suspected nonfelony domestic abuse, other domestic abuse provisions modified, and money appropriated.

HF 2976 (Hollins) Mitigated departures provided for certain offenders who have been victims, presentence investigation reports required to include certain information, certain offenders who have been victims allowed to apply for a pardon or for clemency, and Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines Commission directed to include an additional mitigating factor.

HF 3350 (Pinto) Lifetime firearms ban on persons who are convicted of certain misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor domestic assault offenses established.

3. HF 3489 (Bennett) Field trip policy established, reporting to licensing boards required, and criminal offense of grooming established. Note: The Committee will only consider the sections in the bill (Sections 3, 6, 8, 9, and 10) that are in the Public Safety Committee’s jurisdiction.

4. HF 3990 (Novotny) Provisions for employment or occupation due to conviction of a crime changed.

5. HF 3825 (Repinski) Judge required to inquire whether victim has been notified of plea and sentencing hearings, victim protected from identification in prosecutor's petition for sentence adjustment, victim notification of defendant eligibility for automatic expungement expanded, and other crime victim provisions modified.

6. HF 3826 (Witte) Definition of identity modified for purposes of identity theft crime, authority of financial crimes and fraud section of Bureau of Criminal Apprehension expanded, changes to administrative subpoenas made, and statutes of limitation altered.

7. HF 3827 (Duran) Grants from Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to local law enforcement clarified as reimbursements, law related to recording of crimes updated, process for determining how certain criminal records are ineligible for sealing established, and court required to provide order for protection for access by law enforcement.

8. HF 3822 (Hudson) Penalty for misconduct of public officer or employee enhanced.
