HF 1082 (Moller) Grant funding provided to organizations providing direct services and advocacy for crime victims, and money appropriated.

HF 1042 (Moller) Independent Use of Force Investigations Unit authority amended to investigate offenses that occur on state-owned military installations.

HF 1295 (Johnson, P) Children's advocacy centers included as a victim assistance program entitled to a portion of certain fines.

HF 1686 (Johnson, P) Training requirements for licensed security officers expanded.

HF 1998 (Rarick) Victim notification to order for protection and harassment restraining order violations not prosecuted extended, and victim notification requirements clarified and updated for law enforcement agencies and prosecutors.

HF 1775 (Pinto) Collection and reporting of specified information on criminal cases and the creation of a public dashboard for this information required, and money appropriated.

HF 1163 (Youakim) Scope of hometown heroes assistance program clarified.

3. HF 772 (Swedzinski) Publicly funded state and local institutions ensured to provide notice to United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement when a suspected undocumented person is being housed in a facility under the institution's control.

4. HF 897 (Knudsen) Protection to children and vulnerable adults from exposure to fentanyl provided, and criminal penalties for violation imposed.

5. HF 16 (Rymer) Immigration law enforcement noncooperation ordinances and policies prohibited, use of immigration-related data provided, and county attorneys required to notify federal immigration authorities when an undocumented person is arrested for a crime of violence.

HF 7 (Novotny) Public safety; various public safety provisions modified related to data held by law enforcement agencies, agency custody notice requirements, mandatory minimum sentences, stays of adjudication, the Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines Commission, legislative approval of Sentencing Guidelines, dismissing of charges, liability and vicarious liability, crime for trespass recruiting or educating, assaulting a police officer, fleeing in a motor vehicle, stolen motor vehicles, obstructing traffic, tracking devices, criminal penalties, and money appropriated.

Note: HF 7 was heard on February 11 and testimony was taken at that hearing. No additional testimony will be taken. The bill was heard again on March 4, amended and laid over pending receipt of an updated Fiscal Note. The Fiscal Note has been received so the bill will be re-referred to Ways and Means.

4. HF 697 (Baker) Weather forecasting gap-filing radar data funding provided, and money appropriated.

5. HF 1814 (Backer) Grant funding provided to purchase or upgrade radios and related equipment, and money appropriated.

6. HF 1567 (Duran) Personal information protections currently available for judicial officials extended to peace officers.

7. HF 1256 (Novotny) Certain law enforcement training reimbursement funding extended.

8. HF 1257 (Novotny) Public Safety Advisory Council eliminated.

4. HF 1401 (Witte) – Definition of endangered expanded for purposes of the missing and endangered persons program.

2. 5. HF 1410 (Witte) – Local correctional officers provided in Peace Officers Discipline Procedures Act.

6. HF 538 (Stier) – Use of deadly force by peace officer to protect person from apparent death modified.
