Representative Paul Thissen, Chair of the Health Care and Human Services Policy and Oversight Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:25 P.M. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Laine moved that the minutes of March 4, 2010 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2897/SF2596* (Norton) Psychologist licensure requirements modified.

Representative Thao moved that HF2897, the division report, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Thissen lay aside HF2897.

Representative Norton moved that SF2596 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Norton moved the S2596A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Norton renewed her motion that SF2596, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF677 (Bunn) Body art procedures and establishments regulated.

Representative Thao moved that HF677, the division report, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Bunn moved that HF677 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Civil Justice.

Representative Bunn answered member’s questions.

Representative Bunn renewed her motion that HF677 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Civil Justice. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3151 (Laine) Viewing, transportation, and removal of a dead human body provisions modified.

Representative Laine moved that HF3151 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Laine moved the H3151A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Laine renewed her motion that HF3151, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF773 (Atkins) Health carrier definition clarified.

Representative Fritz moved that HF773 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Labor.

Representative Fritz moved the H0733DE1 amendment with the following change.

Page 1, line 7, after "clauses" insert "(2)"

THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Providing testimony on the bill:

Representative Fritz modified and renewed her motion that HF773 be passed without recommendation and re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Labor. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
