RELEASE: Rep. Myers: 2025 Legislative Session Ends with More Work to Do

SAINT PAUL – State Representative Andrew Myers (R–Tonka Bay) issued the following statement following the conclusion of the 2025 regular legislative session:

“As a member of the Capital Investment Committee, I’m disappointed that passing a bonding bill was not a priority before the end of the regular session on Monday night,” said Myers. “With a special session likely in the coming days, I remain committed to working across the aisle to get a bonding bill finalized this year—one that delivers vital infrastructure investments, including clean water, roads and bridge projects for communities like Excelsior, Long Lake, Minnetonka Beach, Minnetrista, Mound, Shorewood and Tonka Bay.”

Myers is advocating for the inclusion of local projects including:

Myers continued, “There’s still important work to complete during the upcoming special session, including finalizing the state’s two-year budget. In the meantime, I’ll continue advocating for a bonding bill that delivers on key local projects that directly impact our communities, while also balancing statewide needs like maintaining and preserving state-owned assets and creating good paying jobs for Minnesotans.”
