Dear Neighbors,

The 2026 Legislative Session begins next week, and before my Duluth colleagues and I head down to St. Paul, we wanted to touch base with you.

I’ll be joining Sen. Jen McEwen and Rep. Liish Kozlowski to host a Town Hall this Sunday, February 15, starting at 1pm. We’ll be in the Horizon Room of the Harbor Side Convention Center, part of the DECC, and I hope to see you there!

No RSVP is required, but if you’d like to submit questions ahead of time, you can do so here

There’s no shortage of important topics for our community to discuss, and this year’s legislative session will be an important one for our state. In the Minnesota House, our work will continue in a 67-67 tie, so we’ll only accomplish our goals by working together.

Our work at the State Capitol is at its best when it's rooted in our community’s needs, so regardless of whether you can join us this weekend, always feel free to reach out with any questions, comments, or ideas you have to help make Duluth and Minnesota a better place.

You can reach me at rep.pete.johnson@house.mn.gov or (651) 296-4246. You’ll either hear back from me, or our new Legislative Assistant, Paige.

Sincerely,

Pete Johnson

State Representative
