RELEASE: Scott Sworn-in as State Representative

Wednesday, January 9, 2019

ST. PAUL, MN— Rep. Peggy Scott (R-Andover) was officially sworn-in to her sixth term as a state representative on Tuesday, January 8, after taking the oath of office during a swearing-in ceremony at the Capitol. Scott will continue to represent District 35B – encompassing the city of Andover and parts of Ramsey and Coon Rapids – in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

It is a great honor to continue representing our community in the legislature,” said Scott. “This is an important time for our state, and the legislature will face important decisions concerning healthcare costs, tax relief, and transportation infrastructure. I look forward to working with my colleagues and hearing our community’s feedback in order to provide solutions to these issues and best represent our district.

Scott, who was re-elected to her sixth term in November, will serve as the Republican lead on the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Division, and will also serve on the Education Policy and Ways and Means Committees. In addition, in late November she was selected by her colleagues to serve as Assistant Minority Leader for the coming legislative sessions.

Constituents can contact Scott by phone at 651-296-4231 or by email at rep.peggy.scott@house.mn. Scott’s office is located on the third floor of the State Office Building in room 335. Mail can be sent to:
