McDonald performs seventh House oath

Tuesday, January 3, 2023

ST. PAUL – State Rep. Joe McDonald, R-Delano performed his eighth oath of office in the Minnesota House of Representatives Tuesday as the 93rd Legislature was installed at the Capitol in St. Paul.

McDonald was re-elected to the House in November. He serves the newly configured District 29A seat, which now includes the Kingston and Clearwater areas to the west and north, while retaining cities such as Annandale, Delano, Howard Lake Rockford, Montrose and South Haven and Waverly.

McDonald recently gained an appointment to continue serving as the lead Republican on the House Labor and Industry Finance & Policy Committee for the 2023-24 biennium. In addition, McDonald will serve on the House Higher Education Finance and Policy Committee.

“I’m honored and humbled to continue representing the people of our area in the House,” McDonald said. “This swearing-in ceremony did signal change with the new legislative maps now taking effect. I certainly enjoyed representing residents of the former district and welcome people within our new District 29A boundaries that I haven’t yet had the pleasure to serve. I will continue doing my best to provide constituents with a strong presence at the Capitol as I advocate for our best interests.”

McDonald welcomes constituents to call his legislative office at (651) 296-4336 or email rep.joe.mcdonald@house.mn.gov to provide input. McDonald also provides periodic email updates and citizens can sign up to receive them on his personal page at the official House website: www.house.mn.
