St. Paul - Minnesota's 2021 Legislative Session officially began January 5 with Joe Schomacker (R-Luverne) and 133 other state representatives being sworn into office during a ceremony at the State Capitol.

"Being sworn into office remains a humbling experience," Schomacker said. "It is such a privilege to represent the interests of southwestern Minnesotans in the Minnesota House."

Most of Rep. Schomacker's work during the first months of session will take place in House committees.  will continue to serve as the Republican Lead on the Minnesota House Health Finance and Policy Committee and will also serve on the Minnesota House Ways and Means and the Human Services Finance and Policy committees.

"Health topics will almost certainly dominate headlines coming from the State Capitol this year, and as Republican Lead on the health committee I look forward to bringing a common-sense voice to this process," Schomacker said.

Schomacker represents Minnesota House District 22A, which is comprised of Rock, Nobles, Pipestone, Murray, Lyon and Lincoln counties.
