Thank You for Attending Our Summer Town Halls

Thank you to all our neighbors for taking the time out of your busy summer and fall schedules to attend the Senate District 59 Town Hall Meetings on Economic Development, Housing, and the Environment. It was great to see such a wonderful turn out from our community for these events, and it was great for legislators and commissioners to hear directly about the issues most important to you.

We had an excellent turnout for our Economic Development Town Hall on Wednesday, and great questions. You can read more about that meeting here from the article written about it in the Star Tribune.

 Water Quality Meeting September 27

Governor Mark Dayton is hosting a series of Water Quality Town Hall meetings this summer and fall, and one in North Minneapolis is happening next Wednesday, September 27. The town hall will offer an opportunity to discuss the water quality challenges facing our community and our state, learn from experts, and engage with policymakers. The town hall meetings build on the momentum from Governor Dayton’s “25 by 25” Water Quality goal proposal, announced earlier this year.

The town hall meetings will be attended by key members of Governor Dayton’s Cabinet who want to hear from Minnesotans about ways to improve the state’s water quality at the local level.

These town hall meetings are free to attend and open to the public. The meeting will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. with registration beginning at 6:00 p.m. No advance registration is necessary. A complete list of dates and locations is available online:
