Dear Neighbors,

I hope you’re enjoying the start of the summer. With July just around the corner, I wanted to let you know about an upcoming Town Hall I’m hosting with Sen. Champion and Rep. Agbaje on July 7th

Once again we’ll be at the Urban Research and Outreach Engagement Center (UROC), with a community dinner starting at 5:30pm and our discussion going from 6:15pm to 8pm. This will be a great opportunity for us to discuss this year’s legislative session - what we accomplished, the progress we protected, and the crucial work that remains - but we also want to hear from you!

Feel free to bring any thoughts, questions, concerns, or ideas you have to help make our community and state a better place. There’s no shortage of important issues for us to discuss. Our community, city, and state have been through a lot in the last year, but we’ve gotten through these tough times by working together.

At the State Capitol, some progress was made, but Republicans in our tied House blocked many of the solutions necessary to adequately meet the moment we’re in. More needs to be done to address gun violence, to protect our neighbors from federal overreach, to support those impacted by Operation Metro Surge, and to make life more affordable in our state. I will never stop fighting for these values.

Despite the uphill battle for progress, we still managed to deliver for our community. As the DFL Chair of the Capital Investment Committee, I brought over $20 million back to our neighborhood to improve our infrastructure, and millions more for the City of Minneapolis. We also managed to pass $40 million in rental assistance, and extended a lifeline to HCMC.

There’s much more work to do, but it’s work I’m honored to do alongside our neighbors. Should you or your family need anything, please feel free to contact my office for assistance. It’s an honor to represent our community.

I hope to see you at our Town Hall!

In solidarity,

Fue Lee

State Representative
