Monday is Veterans Day—a time for our community and nation to recognize and honor the men and women who have served and are currently serving our nation as a member of the armed forces. We owe a debt of gratitude to these individuals and their families as they have given so much to protect our way of life.
Many of us know someone in uniform and are aware of the selfless commitment made by servicewomen and men and the toll it can take on the families who support them along the journey.
A supportive community strengthens the spirit of military families, and we can extend that support by getting involved or reaching out. If you are interested in volunteer opportunities, I urge you to visit the VA’s website at https://www.volunteer.va.gov/.
Again, thank you to those who have served, are currently serving, and those who will join in the future. We are the land of the free and home of the brave because of your sacrifice.
Have a great weekend,
