Legislative Update - March 7, 2019

Thursday, March 7, 2019

Dear Neighbors,

I have one more quick update for you this week, relating to events that will be happening in our community. It's not the most convenient for folks in our region to drive to Saint Paul for a committee hearing, which is why these legislative events in our area are such a great opportunity.

House Transportation Committee Hearing - Mankato
As I mentioned in my previous update, the House Transportation Committee will be holding a hearing in Mankato tomorrow, March 8, to hear testimony on my bill (HF 538) that provides funds for US Highway 14. All members of the community are invited to attend, and you can find out more on the Facebook event page. If you’d like to provide testimony, you can do so by contacting the committee administrator: John.Howe@house.mn

Agriculture and DNR Community Forum
We'll be holding a round table discussion with Agriculture Commissioner Thom Peterson and DNR Commissioner Sarah Strommen. Both of these state agencies are important to our district, and it promises to be an enlightening discussion. You can find more information on our Facebook event page.
