Listening to the Boots on the Ground The commitment to public service runs deep and wide, and to help grow it, meeting and listening to local leaders helps focus on the priorities most important to the community. Thank you to Excelsior Council Member Tim Bildsoe for taking the time to discuss fire service, Highway 7 safety improvements, economic development, clean water, and more. The more we listen and bring people together, the better we can create solutions to our shared priorities. Vital InfrastructureThank you to the City of Minnetonka Beach for their partnership as we secured $4.5 million for vital clean water infrastructure. It was definitely a team effort. While I drafted the bill that passed, the efforts of city staff, council members, and Mayor Joe Pagano helped us get it over the finish line. Investments like these really address access to clean water and also help alleviate the pressure of rising property taxes, both top priorities for our communities. This is a true bipartisan effort that shows what can be done when you focus on public service, not politics. Supporting Local First RespondersI had a great opportunity to meet and support the Mound Fire Department at the annual fish fry. I also got to hear firsthand from Chief Andy Drilling about the work that Mound Fire does for so many of our cities and the mutual aid efforts to surrounding communities. Another prime example of community supporting community. Thank You!Please continue to reach out to share your priorities or if you need help addressing concerns. I have heard from many of you about Highway 7, infrastructure, new laws that have passed, passport issues, bill ideas, and more. Please keep them coming. If you would like to attend my town hall on July 1st at the Caribou in Tonka Bay from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., please email us. We look forward to continuing the conversation and listening, as your voice has an impact.
