Friday, August 11, 2023

St. Paul, MN – State Representatives Robert Bierman (DFL-Apple Valley) and John Huot (DFL-Rosemount) announced that on Aug. 1, Apple Valley Village Health Care Center received $437,838 of new state funding as part of a bipartisan agreement to stabilize a sector of the economy facing financial hardship. Local nursing homes will receive another significant one-time payment on Aug. 1, 2024.

Representative Bierman and Huot, who represents the Apple Valley region in the Minnesota House of Representatives, celebrated the announcement and released the following statement:

“The legislature has a moral duty to help deliver investments to this critical workforce sector for our nursing home communities. All of our older loved ones- parents, grandparents, neighbors, relatives - deserve a safe and quality community to age in place. We’re glad to see these funds go directly to Apple Valley Village Health Care Center as a result of our bipartisan work at the Capitol.”

Another $437,838 will be allocated to Apple Valley Village Health Care Center in 2024.
