Legislative Update- Upcoming Town Hall & Survey

Thursday, April 18, 2019
Dear Neighbors,

The Legislature is on its annual spring recess this week in observance of Easter and Passover. Legislative business at the Capitol resumes on Tuesday, April 23, at which time the Minnesota House of Representatives will begin voting on the major components of our state budget. Our first budget items we’ll be taking up are E-12 Education and the Jobs bill.

Back in the district, I’ve been listening to community members and neighbors, gaining valuable and constructive input about various proposals moving through the House. With the E-12 Education and Jobs bills on my mind, I’ve been meeting with hospitals in the community and across the state about the ongoing opportunities to help support mental health services in our schools. Additionally, many workers in the community have expressed concerns about wage theft and tax fairness.

I’d like to take this opportunity to invite you to share your feedback with me in how I can best represent you at the Capitol.
