St. Paul, MN - Today, the University of Minnesota’s Board of Regents elected Dr. Rebecca Cunningham to serve as the institution’s 18th president.
State Representative Mohamud Noor (DFL - Minneapolis), whose district includes the University of Minnesota and who serves on the House Higher Education Committee, released the following statement:
“I want to provide a heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Rebecca Cunningham for being named to this crucial role. The University of Minnesota is a tremendous asset to our state, and stalwart leadership is required to continue its mission of providing world-class education, groundbreaking research, and community-engaged outreach. I wish Dr. Cunningham the best of luck, and look forward to working with her at the Minnesota Legislature."
