Rep. Clardy Delivers Millions in Local Infrastructure Investments

 

St. Paul, MN - On the final day of the 2026 legislative session, the Minnesota House and Senate passed a package of legislation investing in regional infrastructure projects and funding good-paying local jobs throughout the state, including millions in state investment allocated for District 53A in Dakota County.

 

“Our communities thrive when we invest in our neighbors,” said Rep. Mary Frances Clardy (DFL- Inver Grove Heights), chief author of the projects for House District 53A. “I’m honored to deliver these infrastructure improvements to keep our community moving forward.” 

 

Funds include:

  • Mendota Heights Public Safety and City Hall Facility  — $4 million
  • Thompson Park – $2 million
  • Heroes and Heritage Trail — $300,000
  • 150 Thompson Park (former YMCA site) — $1 million
