Celebrating America's 250th Anniversary
Friends,
This Fourth of July, America turns 250 years old.
As a principal and educator, milestones like this make me think about our kids. What do they see when they look at this country? What are we teaching them to value? What kind of nation are we preparing them to inherit?
For 250 years, America has been built one generation at a time. Parents teaching their children right from wrong. Teachers opening young minds to history, responsibility, and opportunity. Coaches, pastors, neighbors, veterans, first responders, farmers, workers, and small business owners all doing their part to strengthen the communities around them.
That’s the America our kids should know. A country where freedom is real, opportunity is still possible, hard work yields results, and each generation has a duty to leave things better than they found them.
The Fourth of July is a day for parades, flags, fireworks, and time with family. It’s also one of those days when kids notice what adults celebrate. I hope they see pride in our country, gratitude for those who built and defended it, and confidence in the future we’re asking them to help shape.
America’s next chapter will be written by the young people growing up today. Let’s give them a country worth loving, a history worth learning, and a future worth reaching for.

Happy Independence Day!
