Minneapolis Delegation Statement on Another Federal Agent Shooting in Minneapolis
Minneapolis, MN – The Minneapolis House delegation has released the following statement:
"One day after tens of thousands of Minnesotans came to Minneapolis and marched for peace, federal agents killed another Minnesotan. Alex Pretti was beaten to the ground by a mob of agents and shot multiple times in the middle of our streets. Our deepest condolences go out to Alex’s family.
“This unspeakable violence comes on the heels of Renee Good’s murder, and a continued escalation of lawless force that is terrorizing our children, families, and communities. The federal government’s occupation of our city and state must end. And the federal officials who are inflicting this violence upon our citizens must be held accountable.
We continue to be inspired by the people of Minneapolis who are meeting the federal government’s exercise of force with powerful, peaceful action. We are a community that cares for its neighbors. We will continue to stand together in pursuit of peace and justice for all.”
The Minneapolis Delegation for the 2025-2026 biennium in the House includes Rep. Michael Howard (51A), Rep. Fue Lee (59A), Rep. Esther Agbaje (59B), Rep. Sydney Jordan (60A), Rep. Mohamud Noor (60B), Rep. Katie Jones (61A), Rep. Jamie Long (61B), Rep. Aisha Gomez (62A), Rep. Anquam Mahamoud (62B), Rep. Samantha Sencer-Mura (63A), and Rep. Emma Greenman (63B).
