Dear Neighbors and Friends,
I was honored to join community leaders and advocates today at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Alebrijes exhibit on Raspberry Island. You can explore the fantastical outdoor public art exhibit featuring 16 large-scale papier-mâché creations from June 1 through October 26, 2025!
As Vice Chair of Legacy and Finance, I'm incredibly proud to see this art inspire communities statewide, demonstrating how our traditions resonate far beyond our communities.
It's wonderful to witness legacy funding empower community storytellers, a vital investment in our shared history that ensures our traditions thrive. With this ribbon-cutting, we honor our talented artists and their rich Mexican heritage and traditions.
Mark your calendars for a special upcoming FREE Community Celebration on Saturday, June 14, from noon to 5:00 p.m at Raspberry Island. This exciting event will feature art activities, music/dancing, and delicious food! For more information visit the MN Latino Museum.
