DFL Rochester Delegation Statement on ICE Shooting in South Minneapolis
Saint Paul, Minn -- The DFL Rochester Delegation released the following statement following the shooting of a woman in Minneapolis by ICE this morning:
“This incident substantiates concerns that many have expressed since the start of ‘Operation Metro Surge’: ICE’s presence in Minnesota terrorizes our neighbors and puts our communities at risk. We demand that Secretary Noem and ICE leave our state immediately so our neighborhoods can be free of their violence. We also urge Minnesotans who, like us, are angry and devastated by this shooting, not to give Donald Trump any excuse to escalate harm.”
The DFL Rochester Delegation includes Rep. Andy Smith, Rep. Tina Liebling, Rep. Kim Hicks, and Sen. Liz Boldon.
