Myers and Nadeau Encouraged Engagement and Welcome Signs of Progress
St. Paul — Representatives Andrew Myers (R-Tonka Bay) and Danny Nadeau (R-Rogers) welcome recent developments of improved coordination between Gov. Tim Walz and President Donald Trump, that signal a more constructive approach to addressing ongoing challenges in Minnesota.
The developments come shortly after the legislators privately and formally raised concerns and outlined practical paths forward in direct correspondence to the President and Governor. Nadeau and Myers intimated the timing underscores the value of clear communication and serious engagement.
“A lot happens behind the scenes,” said Rep. Nadeau. “Going on social platforms and making statements is one thing, sometimes an important thing, but doing the work, building relationships, and advancing solutions is the best way to effect lasting change. That work doesn’t always get attention, but it’s what leads to progress.”
“Our request nearly a week ago for the Governor to make a phone call, and for the President to answer, underscores that long-lasting solutions are possible when elected officials spend time and effort bringing people together, rather than using divisive words that fan the flames” said Rep. Myers.
Myers and Nadeau emphasized that lasting progress depends on intentional direct engagement, lowered rhetoric, and a focus on outcomes. They said they will continue working as State Legislators to shape a stable, constructive path forward for Minnesota.
