Legislative Update
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I want to acknowledge our region that has been impacted by the wildfires. These fires have placed tremendous strain on our communities, emergency responders, and the families who have been affected.
First and foremost, I want everyone to know that my thoughts and prayers are with those who have been forced to evacuate, those working tirelessly to protect homes and businesses, and the brave firefighters, law enforcement officers, National Guard members, and emergency personnel putting themselves in harm's way to keep our communities safe. Their courage and dedication remind us what makes northern Minnesota so special.
I have been working closely with federal, state, and local officials to monitor the situation and assist constituents wherever possible. If you or your family have been impacted by the fires and need assistance navigating state resources, please do not hesitate to reach out to my office. We are here to help.
While many summer festivals, parades, and community events are taking place across the district, you may notice that I am unable to attend every event this year. Please know that my priority right now is serving the needs of constituents which sometimes means I have to be away from the district. However, I look forward to getting back out to more community events. In the meantime, thank you for your understanding as we focus on what matters most, keeping our neighbors safe and helping our communities recover.
Please continue to stay informed, follow guidance from local emergency officials, and keep everyone affected by these fires in your thoughts.
