ZELEZNIKAR SWORN IN, NAMED TO HOUSE COMMITTEES

ST. PAUL – Representative Natalie Zeleznikar, R-Fredenberg Township, was sworn in Tuesday for her first term as the State Representative for House District 3B. Zeleznikar was first elected in November and lives in Fredenberg Township with her husband Dan. There, they raised two sons, and gained a daughter-in-law, and all three graduated from Hermantown High School.

“I am honored to represent the people of Northern Minnesota in the House, and to bring their voice to the Capitol,” said Zeleznikar. “Our community is an amazing place to live and work, and I hope to make it even better through my work in St. Paul this session. I look forward to hearing from the people of District 3B about their needs and priorities for this legislative session, and I encourage constituents to contact me with their thoughts about the issues coming before the legislature this year.

“While talking to the people of our community over the last year, I heard many voice their concerns with high property taxes, increased living expenses and the need to lower taxes for more take home pay, the crisis in nursing home and assisted living settings and the need for more staff and higher wages, assuring we have reasonable regulations for childcare providers to gain more, and eliminating the tax on social security once and for all. I also support a $4,000 rebate check to all who paid taxes with this significant budget surplus.”

Zeleznikar was also named to three House committees: Children and Families Finance and Policy, Human Services Finance, and Workforce Development Finance and Policy.

Constituents who wish to contact Rep. Zeleznikar about legislative issues can call her office at 651-296-2676 or email her at Rep.Natalie.Zeleznikar@house.mn.gov.
