Legislative Update

While the pace at the Capitol rarely slows down, I was grateful to spend the past week back home in our district. It’s always good to be on familiar ground with familiar faces. These local visits aren’t just part of my job; they are a return to the people and places that have shaped who I am.

St. Francis Education Minnesota

On Saturday, I met with representatives from St. Francis Education Minnesota. We had a thoughtful conversation about the real challenges our educators are facing. These aren’t abstract policy issues, but day-to-day pressures in the classroom. As someone who’s raised four kids through public schools, I take these conversations to heart.

Easter

Easter Sunday

Sunday was a beautiful day to pause and reflect on the hope we have in Christ and the gift of family. I hope your Easter was filled with peace, renewal, and time well spent with loved ones.

Princeton Public Schools Legislative Breakfast

Monday brought me to the Princeton Public Schools Legislative Breakfast. I can’t say enough about what a phenomenal job the students did. From the student council's presentation, to the culinary program’s breakfast, to the welding and business class showcases, it was clear this is a district that’s raising not only smart students but strong leaders. I even had a great apple cider, courtesy of the student-run business program. Hats off to the school board and staff for building such a well-rounded learning environment.

Sherburne County Association of Townships

On Wednesday, I joined township leaders at the Sherburne County Association of Townships meeting at the History Center. I gave a legislative update and spent time answering questions from our local leaders. Having served on the Baldwin Township Board for over 20 years, I know just how critical our townships are to keeping communities running and neighbors connected.

Local BPOU Meeting

And on Thursday, I met with fellow conservatives at our local 27B BPOU meeting where we discussed the state budget, key issues at the Capitol, and how we can keep standing strong for our shared values. These meetings aren’t just political. They’re about preserving what matters for the next generation of Minnesotans.

Let's Continue Working Together

This week reminded me of something simple but powerful. No matter what’s happening in St. Paul, the real work is at home - in the barns, boardrooms, school gyms, and township halls of Central Minnesota. That’s where common sense still reigns, and that’s who I’m here to represent.

If you ever want to share a concern, idea, or just visit for a cup of coffee, I hope you’ll reach out. I’m here to serve you.
