Legislative Update
Friends, The regular legislative session ended on the 19th, but the work did not. There has been a lot of action behind the scenes to wrap up negotiations and we are now preparing for a special session, though the exact date has yet to be announced. There is still a lot of work to be done before the state’s business is fully wrapped up. The official deadline for working groups to finalize their bills was Wednesday at 7 p.m. These groups spent countless hours negotiating the details of complex issues and trying to find common ground. Now, the responsibility falls to legislative leadership and the governor to complete the remaining work and bring forward any necessary agreements in the special session. I understand many of you want to see progress, and I will be sure to keep you updated with the latest information as we move into the special session. It’s important that we finish this work thoughtfully and responsibly.
Wild West Day Parade - ZimmermanOn a lighter note, this past Saturday I had the pleasure of attending the Zimmerman Wild West Day parade. It was great to see so many families and volunteers come together to celebrate our community. A big thank you to all who worked hard to organize such a fun event! ![]()
Princeton Memorial Day ServiceOn Monday, I attended the Memorial Day service in Princeton. It was a solemn and meaningful reminder of the sacrifices made by so many brave men and women in uniform. I want to sincerely thank every service member, past and present, who has defended our nation and preserved our freedom. It’s vital that we honor and remember those who gave everything so we could live in liberty. ![]()
BPOU UpdateOn Wednesday evening, I attended the Isanti BPOU meeting to provide a legislative update. I shared where things currently stand in the House and answered questions from local residents about the issues facing our district and the state. It’s always good to hear from the community and discuss the work being done on their behalf.
Looking AheadI’m excited for the St. Francis Parade this Saturday. I hope to see many of you there as we continue to celebrate and support our local communities. Thank you for your continued trust. Please stay tuned for more updates as the special session gets underway. Representative Bryan Lawrence House District 27B
