A Fun Run-In! It’s always a pleasant surprise when you bump into someone who’s doing great work, and that’s exactly what happened when I spontaneously ran into Charles from Mankato State University's "Students United" group at the Capitol! For those who don’t know, Students United is a student-led organization that represents over 65,000 students from Minnesota’s seven state universities. They’re all about advocating for policies that make higher education more affordable and accessible for everyone. We had a great chat about some of the big issues students are facing today, like improving resources, fighting for affordability, and, of course, making sure students have a voice in decisions that affect their future. It was awesome to hear about all the work they’re doing, and I’m excited to keep collaborating with them to ensure Minnesota students have the support they need! Want to learn more about what they’re up to? Check out their website at studentsunited.org and see all the incredible things they’re working on. Fighting for Southern Minnesota: Connecting with Grassroots Leaders I had the privilege of joining Congressman Brad Finstad at the Nicollet County BPOU Meeting, where we connected with grassroots conservatives who are working hard to shape the future of our state. It was great to hear from so many engaged community members who care deeply about the direction of Minnesota. Congressman Finstad and I discussed the challenges facing our families, farmers, and small businesses—from the need for tax relief to protecting our rural way of life. These conversations are invaluable as I continue fighting for common-sense policies that put Minnesotans first. I’m grateful for the opportunity to listen, learn, and work alongside leaders like Congressman Finstad and all of you. Your voices matter, and I’ll keep advocating for the values that make our communities strong! Stay Connected!I always want to hear from you! Your thoughts, concerns, and ideas help guide the work I do for our district. Whether you have questions about a specific issue or just want to stay informed about what’s happening at the Capitol, don’t hesitate to reach out. My office is here to serve you, and I’m always ready to listen. It’s an honor to represent District 18A, and I look forward to continuing our work together to make Minnesota a better place for everyone. Sincerely, Representative Erica Schwartz Minnesota House of Representatives, District 18A |
