Today is November 11, which means it’s Veteran’s Day, a chance to honor the brave heroes who have served our nation so faithfully. This day to honor the men and women who faithfully served in the military began in 1919, and was officially recognized by Congress in 1926.
We’re forever indebted and grateful for the heroic service of our men and women who serve our great nation in the military. Though we should always honor our vets, Veterans Day gives an opportunity to give a much-needed thank you to all who have served. We are free as a people because of the sacrifices of those in the military.
If you’re looking for ways to volunteer, please visit www.volunteer.va.gov to find ways to give back. Again, thank you, veterans, for all you’ve done to keep us safe, and protect our freedoms and liberties.
Enjoy your weekend, but first, take a second to thank a veteran in your life.
