It has been busy here at the Capitol as we have heard many omnibus bills on the house floor this week.
This week we passed State Government, Elections, Transportation, Veterans, Commerce, and Higher Education omnibus bills off the house floor.
As Republican chair of the of the Health Finance Committee, I want you to know that your health care is my top priority. We're fighting for ongoing EMS funding, support for our rural and critical access hospitals, and relief for independent pharmacies. I’ve been hearing from so many of you about concerns over vaccines and proposals that could impact homeschooling. Here’s the good news: the House is tied, and as Republicans, we control the speakership. That means we’re standing strong against government overreach. Where's Waldo...more like where's Backer! It was great getting to visit with the 6th graders from Fergus Falls Kennedy Secondary School who were here getting to tour the Capitol and learn more about the State Government.
Autumn Herzog, Administrator at Browns Valley Health, discussed state policies and issues that are important for supporting the operation of this essential service in Browns Valley.
On Tuesday, a vendor at the Capitol Mall showcased a fascinating hawk, captivating visitors with its inquisitive nature.
