New Social Studies Standards
Every ten years, Minnesota Statutes require that academic standards be reviewed by the Minnesota Department of Education. Currently, social studies curriculum for Minnesota schools is a part of that review. Topics like history, government, and civics could be revised as a result.
The public comment period regarding new social studies standards is open now until August 16th at 4:00pm. There are multiple ways to let the Department of Education know what you think.
