RELEASE: Rep. Robbins Encourages Businesses to Attend IFAT Conference

Tuesday, July 27, 2021

SAINT PAUL, MN – IFAT Munich is the environmental industry’s largest conference for water, sewage, waste, and raw materials management. The Minnesota Trade Office is looking for companies to join the state’s delegation at the event in Munich in 2022. Minnesota companies should sign up now to take advantage of a booth sign-up extension and to see if they qualify for STEP grant benefits to cover either booth or travel-related expenses.

“IFAT Munich is an incredible opportunity for the businesses in our community to promote their products to the world,” said Rep. Kristin Robbins, R-Maple Grove. “I encourage our local companies to join Minnesota’s delegation to show how our state leads the way in water and wastewater treatment, waste management, recycling, and waste to energy sectors.”

Financial assistance is available through a STEP Grant application to see if businesses qualify for a free booth ($7,500 value). Eligible firms may also seek reimbursement for 50% of travel, hotel, and related costs, with a ceiling of $7,500. For more information, contact Steve Reidel, Regional Trade Manager, at Steve.Riedel@state.mn.us.
