Statement from Rep. Harder on Chaotic Disruption of Church Service
St. Paul - Representative Bobbie Harder (R–Henderson Twp.) issued the following statement regarding the chaotic disruption of a church service in St. Paul over the weekend:
"What happened at Cities Church this past weekend was unacceptable and should never have occurred.
Houses of worship are places where people gather in peace. Using them as targets for confrontation, disruption, or intimidation crosses a clear boundary and violates basic standards of respect and public order. This behavior was harassment, not protest.
Minnesotans are free to express their views, but that freedom does not include invading churches or frightening families who are there to worship. Churches are off limits, and actions like this require accountability."
