Legislative Update - Next Week’s Town Hall on Defending Minnesota from the Trump Administration

Dear Neighbors,  

I want to thank everyone that came out for our Duluth Community Forum with Attorney General Keith Ellison last weekend. It was a great event with a lot of energy, meaningful conversations, and a desire to do more.  

If you weren’t able to join us, or are looking for more ways to get involved, I hope you’ll consider joining us next week for a Town Hall to address the Trump administration's actions and policies, their impact on Minnesota, and what we can do about it. 

Whether it’s undermining public education, imposing tariffs that drive up the cost of living and doing business, firing thousands of federal workers with no warning, or cutting Medicaid to give tax breaks to billionaires, the Trump administration’s policies are making life worse for everyone. Every day, more and more people are standing up to Donald Trump and his billionaire friends, and fighting back to protect our families, schools, communities, and fundamental rights. 

Our Town Hall will be on Tuesday, April 15, starting at 7pm.

I’ll be joined by Sen. Jen McEwen, and Senate Majority Leader Erin Murphy. This event will feature a presentation about how the federal government’s actions are hurting the people of Minnesota, and most importantly, it’s an opportunity for people in our area to voice their fears, frustrations, and ideas. I’m eager to listen to what you have to say and work together to stand up for our shared values.
