Rep. Danny Nadeau Named 2025 Legislator of Distinction by the League of Minnesota Cities

St. Paul, MN – The League of Minnesota Cities has recognized Representative Danny Nadeau (R-Rogers) as a 2025 Legislator of Distinction for his commitment to partnering with cities and advancing policies that support local communities across Minnesota.

The League annually honors lawmakers who work with city officials, seek input on local issues, support League initiatives, and promote the importance of state-local partnerships. Rep. Nadeau earned the distinction for his work during the 2025 legislative session, where he consistently collaborated with city leaders and championed solutions that strengthen communities.

“I am honored to be recognized by the League of Minnesota Cities,” said Rep. Nadeau. “Building strong, safe, and thriving communities takes teamwork. Throughout this past session, I worked closely with local officials to craft practical solutions that address real challenges, from supporting public safety to giving cities the tools they need to serve their residents effectively.”

As a member of the Legislative Commission on Pensions and Retirement, Rep. Nadeau played a key role in passing legislation to address public safety duty disabilities – balancing the need to take care of injured employees while stabilizing the Public Employees Retirement Association Police and Fire Plan. He also authored legislation restoring local authority for cities to manage rental licensing and spacing requirements for group homes, ensuring cities can better meet the needs of residents while maintaining safe neighborhoods.

“I will continue to focus on practical, bipartisan solutions that empower our cities and strengthen the communities I represent,” added Nadeau.
