Walk through and public testimony of Education Policy Omnibus Bill.
The DE amendment (containing the language of the Omnibus Bill) will be posted at least 24 hours in advance of the hearing.

Time will be allotted for public testimony (up to 2 minutes each) in response to the posted DE Amendment (omnibus bill). If we run out of time, you are encouraged to submit your comments in writing after the hearing.

HF1376 (Frazier) - Teacher licensure provisions modified, Professional Educator Licensing and standards Board composition modified, rulemaking authorized, and technical changes made.
*Public testimony on HF 1376 was taken on 3/1/2021, and the bill was laid over. No additional public testimony will be taken at this hearing. The author's amendment below was already adopted, but the bill has not been engrossed to incorporate the changes made by the amendment.

HF161 (Fischer) - Environmental hazard notifications in school buildings required.

HF1617 (Hassan) - Online personal finance class required for high school graduation.

HF1081 (Richardson) - Commissioner of education reporting requirements clarified, and obsolete language removed.

HF1083 (Moller) - Comprehensive school mental health service lead position established, and money appropriated. (The amendment and testimony deadline for HF 1083 ONLY is extended from 5:00 p.m. on 3/4/2021 to 10:00 a.m. on 3/5/2021. The deadlines remain the same for all other bills.)
