The agenda posted will be continued later in the afternoon when the committee reconvenes after recessing at 2:30 pm and returning from floor session - 4pm or 15 minutes after 3:30pm floor session or at the call of the Chair. The meeting was accidentally posted for Basement Hearing room but will be meeting in Room 5 at 12:45 and after 3:30 floor session we will be meeting in room 200.

Pending rereferral we will also hear:
HF1354 (Hackbarth) Firefighter deaths required to be reported to the state fire marshal, and continued health insurance coverage provided to families of noncareer firefighters who die in the line of duty. (pending referral from Gov Ops Committee)

HF920 Destination medical center; city's local contribution computation modified, and use of funds restricted.
HF1822 Public funding for aesthetic enhancement in road projects prohibited.

HF1478 (Garofalo) - Metropolitan area sales tax base modified.
HF0243 (Newton) - Driver's licenses and Minnesota identification cards Purple Heart designation established, and state park permits provided.
HF1669 (Considine) - Drive-away in-transit license plates governed, data classified, and money appropriated.
HF2053 (Theis) - Driveway in-transit license restricted to Minnesota applicants, and plate allowed to be used outside Minnesota.

We will be hearing the two police office bills first on agenda that dedicate highway segments in their honor and memory.

Two other bills which had planned to be heard by the committee pending referral will NOT be heard today since neither bill was referred to the committee:
HF1866 (Petersburg) clarifying motor vehicle lease sales tax revenue deposits (this was sent to Legacy)
HF864 (Sanders) Insurance Fraud provisions - This bill no longer needs to be heard in transportation committee

HF0631 (Runbeck) - Motor vehicle registration refunds provided.

HF1598 (McNamara) - Right-of-way mowing restrictions modified, and penalties provided.

HF1265 (Davids) - Cities provided dedicated aid to fund transportation costs.
HF1677 (Albright) - Human services policy modifications provided; unmarked vehicle use authorized; background study requirements, cost of care requirements, and Minnesota Indian Family Preservation Act modified; nonemergency medical transportation documentation required; council continued; Indian child out-of-home placement provisions modified; conforming changes made; rulemaking authorized; and criminal penalties provided.
HF1732 (Smith) - Federal REAL ID Act planning and implementation activities governed; planning, analysis, and enforcement extension activities directed; report required; and requirements on state fund use established.
HF1733 (Kelly) - Transportation commissioner directed to adopt policy to lower local share of transportation project costs.
