HF3479 (Freiberg): Right to postpone a mortgage sale clarified.

HF4205 (Tabke): Automated license plate reader data restrictions enhanced, data centralized in Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, and use of automated license plate readers by private entities regulated.

HF3782 (Moller): Disclosure of chemical irritants used in certain buildings required.

HF4081 (Greenman): Possession of semiautomatic military-style assault weapons banned, and criminal penalties provided.

NOTE: The committee will accept testimony related to the provisions in HF4081 under our jurisdiction, related to data privacy:
Article 1, Section 2, Subdivision 6
Article 2, Section 1

HF4138 (Scott): Requirements for social media platforms related to accounts for minors established, and enforcement mechanisms for regulations on child social media accounts established.

Committee discussion of all bills will be limited to the provisions within the jurisdiction of the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee. Items may be taken up in any order; items may be added or removed at the chairs discretion.

TESTIMONY: If you would like to testify on a bill, please email the Committee Administrator, josh.sande@house.mn.gov by 12:00 PM on Monday, March 16, 2026. Include the bill number, your name, title and/or organization where applicable, and whether your testimony will be in support of or opposition to the bill. Time for testimony may be limited. The number of testifiers and length of time permitted is at the discretion of the chair and is subject to change. Please plan accordingly.
