Judiciary Finance and Civil Law

1. HF 14 (Pinto) Criminal background checks required for firearm transfers, and grounds modified for disqualification of transferee permit.
2. HF 15 (Frazier) Law enforcement and family members enabled to petition a court to prohibit people from possessing firearms if they pose a significant danger to themselves or others by possessing a firearm, and money appropriated.

*** The Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee hearing on Thursday, February 9th will be a ticketed event. The hearing will be broadcast on the Minnesota House Live Webcast and Mobile Streaming. There will also be an overflow room at the Capitol.

Committee discussion of all bills will be limited to the provisions within the jurisdiction of the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee. Items may be taken up in any order, items may be added or removed at the Chairs' discretion.
